Refund/Withdrawals
3.1 Refunds
We understand that circumstances may change, and at times participants need to cancel or change their registration for one of our programs. The Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department has established the following refund policy to ensure fairness to all parties:
- A written refund request must be made detailing the participant(s) being withdrawn, what program the participant(s) are being withdrawn from, and reason for the request.
- For requests made two (2) weeks prior to the program start date, a full refund will be offered.
- For requests made within two (2) weeks of the program start date, refunds will be at the discretion of the Parks and Recreation Department, including full or partial refunds. If the program is full and we are able to utilize the waitlist to replace the registration, a full refund will be offered.
- Once a program has begun, refunds are offered on a case-by-case basis depending on the nature of the request and impact on the program.
- Refunds will be issued in the same form as the original payment method, and it may take up to two (2) weeks for the refund to be processed. If the original payment method is no longer valid or an alternative method is required, refunds may take up to four (4) weeks to be processed.
- We reserve the right to cancel or modify any program, and in such cases, participants will be given a partial or full refund.
