Land Evidence (Deeds/ Mortgages) – Please visit the following link to Search Land Evidence Records at Your Land Evidence Filings can be sent to us for recording at 93 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown RI. Attention Town Clerk or dropped in our Drop Box located at the back of Town Hall. Please include an email and we can scan and send your record after recording. Please also include a self-addressed stamp envelope for the return of your document.

Probate: For forms please visit the following website:  

Dog License/ Rabies Clinic: Starting April 1st: Please mail or utilize the Drop Box a Proof of Rabies Vaccination and Licensing fee is as follows: $6.00 Spayed and Neutered dogs and $16.00 Non-Spayed and Non-Neutered dogs. We are granting an extension for return on Licenses until May 30, 2021.

The Town Clerk serves as the secretary of the municipal corporation and is the keeper of the entire recorded history of the community and its people. The duties and responsibilities of this position are defined by the Rhode Island General Laws, Rhode Island Department of Health (Division of Vital Statistics), the State Constitution, the Town Charter and local ordinances. The Town Clerk is also an ex officio member of the Board of Canvassers. The Department of the Town Clerk consists the following divisions:
